Product Warranty
CityTime warranties are now automatically registered when you purchase a watch, manufacturer warranties (companies listed below) may still require manual warranty registration.
CityTime.com will service every brand name watch sold on our website for a period of 1 to 5 years after purchase (see chart for exceptions). Watches that have symptoms of abnormally gaining time, losing time, or not keeping proper time will be serviced under our warranty program. Our warranty does not cover "external damage" to the product.
What's Covered:
The warranty applies to the following:
- Manufacturing defects
- Watch movement
What's Not Covered:
The CityTime.com warranty does not cover any damage resulting from, water/moisture damage. Additionally, the warranty does not cover any damage to the watch case, crystal/glass, watch bracelet/band, watch bezel, straps, screws, crown/stem, finishes, clasps/buckles, or any other physical damage to the watch. Damage which occurs due to having the watch serviced by a third party, nulls and voids the warranty from CityTime.com.
This limited warranty does not cover any damage if there is evidence of excessive wear and tear, or if used under conditions which exceed the watch manufacturer’s water resistance guidelines. Consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this warranty or any implied warranties.
- External wear-and-tear from normal daily use.
- External damage to the product. Any damages resulting from wear to the watch case, crystal/glass, watch bracelet, watch bezel, straps, screws, crown/stem, finishes, clasps/buckles, or any other physical damage to the watch
- Defects caused by outside force, improper use, or ANY such incidental damages which occur by dropping or banging the timepiece.
- Any lost/missing stones or gems on the outer portion of the watch or watch face
- Outside modifications and third party repair attempts void the warranty
- Any damage if used under conditions which exceed the watch manufacturer’s water resistance guidelines.
- Watches that are labeled as water resistant featuring a screw down crown. The crown must be screwed down properly at all times to keep the watch casing from receiving water damage inside the stem. Water damage is not covered under warranty by CityTime.com nor any manufacturer.
A detailed description of the warranty conditions can be found in the documentation for the purchased product and/or on the website of the relevant manufacturer.
We also draw your attention to the fact that upon receipt and payment of the order, the buyer, in the presence of the courier, is obliged to check the configuration and appearance of the product for the absence of physical defects (scratches, cracks, chips, etc.) and the completeness of the configuration. After the courier's departure, claims on these issues will not be accepted.
The Fine Print:
CityTime.com will repair or replace the product at our discretion, including the cost of all parts and labor during the warranty period.
CityTime.com disclaims any liability for consequential or incidental damages for breach of written or implied warranty of this product, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
The duration of the warranty for different brands is indicated in the product card on the website and in the warranty card issued at the time of purchase.
